Villas at Hamilton

Villas at Hamilton, a historically significant airmen's barracks located on former Hamilton Field, serves as an example of one of the solutions that has been applied to the closed and empty military base.

The project is considered mixed-use since substantial, secure storage was incorporated into the space for use by both residents and by other homeowners in the growing community.

Funding for the project included low-income and historic tax credits as well as tax-exempt bonds. Financial participants included ARCS Commercial Mortgage (as Fannie Mae lender), Key Bank and Key Housing Capital, all of which were able to address the complexities associated with the combination of historic tax credits and mixed-use configuration in a low-income residential property.
